events and projects

There are many projects for which Flow Provider has written the project plan behind the scenes (for example E-Moves in Eindhoven). We also contributed to the policy of ‘urban sports’ in Eindhoven (and we were lynched for our progressive opinion which is currently being implemented).

Flow Provider has also taken the first step in the realisation of a ‘Surf Park‘ in the Netherlands. In 2013 we made the first studies and conducted the first research. We started ‘Surf Park’ which is now an independent foundation. The board members of this foundation started 24/7 Waves and they just finished their first wave pool for surfers in The Netherlands.

Flow Provider provided program components within various editions of major events such as Xtreme Xperience in Belgium, Breakfast by Pinkpop agency and organized many of its own events.

Our history

Flow Provider originated as a foundation from the organization of the largest indoor hip-hop event in Europe. This event was expanded in 2003 to a city-wide hip-hop week and weekend in Eindhoven.

Hip-hop took off in the US and American artists became too expensive to make an event like this financially feasible in the Netherlands. At the same time, hip-hop in the Netherlands was not yet ‘big’ enough to allow Dutch artists to headline an event of this magnitude. It has been decided to end the organization of the event as a festival but to continue smaller-scale events and projects.

Breakdance competitions continued (including NK Breakdance) and this branch was eventually made independent.

Various hip-hop projects were continued in collaboration with cultural and educational institutions as well as event organizers.

However, interest and expertise in the field of action and lifestyle sports (also called ‘urban’ and ‘extreme’ sports by some) increased. Flow Provider has specialised further in this direction.
